  About 10 Beautiful Mosques of Bangladesh Built in The Present Century Bangladesh is a secular country and people of all religions live together here, but the majority of Muslims have existed in this country since many years ago. That is why there are numerous mosques in almost all places of this country. If you talk about the capital city, Dhaka is called the city of mosques because of the numerous mosques built here. Apart from this, there are many mosques set up in other districts or sub-districts areas outside Dhaka. Religiously all mosques are considered very important places for us. But the construction of some mosques and their architecture engineering fascinate us differently. For example, the famous Sixty Dome Mosque in Bagerhat District which is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. There is also a lot to talk about Atiya Mosque in Tangail district. Water Lily 

Water Lily is actually called the national flower of Bangladesh.

  • It is common and can be observed across the country
  • It is an aquatic flower and Bangladesh has so many ponds and lakes and 700 rivers originally.
  • White Water Lily is called Shada Shapla in Bengali. There are white, pink, red and light blue water Lilies in Bangladesh.
  • Nymphaea nouchali is the scientific name of white colored Water lily.
  • Bangladeshi people eat water lily / Shapla as vegetable and make delicious dish. A kind of puffed seed are made from Shapla seeds as traditional dish.
  • Water lily is also in our national emblem. There is a big White water lily sculpture with fountains in a roundabout in Motijheel (This spot was a mass grave of Liberation war 1971)

Hilsha Fish
Hilsa (ilish) any of the members of the genus Tenualosa of the family Clupeidae, order Clupeiformes. Locally known as Ilish, the fish has been designated as the national fish of Bangladesh. The body is strongly compressed and moderately deep with dorsal and ventral profile equally convex. The upper jaw has a distinct median notch. Regularly arranged medium-sized scales cover the metallic silver-coloured body. Body length may reach up to 60 cm, but commonly found specimens measure 35 to 40 cm. A large-sized hilsa weighs about 2.5 kg. Females grow faster, and are usually larger than males. The hilsa is known to be a fast swimmer, an
d attains maturity in one to two years.

Royal Bengal Tiger
The Royal Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris Tigris) is the official National animal of Bangladesh. It is also known as Bengal Tiger. The scientific name of the Royal Bengal Tiger is Panthera tigris Tigris. The origin of these tigers is from Bangladesh as it can only be found in Sundarbans and the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest in the world and It is also a world heritage site by UNESCOIn short, the Royal Bengal tiger is the most powerful, intelligent, and majestic animal in Bangladesh. For its unique features, It deigned the official National Animal Symbol of Bangladesh.
